Forecasting independently daily
How did your EAS education prepare you for your current job?: 
The education I received from the EAS program gave me a great understanding of global weather patterns and how to forecast. The small class sizes made it easier to ask questions and get a full understanding of concepts.
What do you wish you had known as an EAS undergraduate in order to land the job of your dreams?: 
Take the classes required for get certification from the American Meteorological Society after graduating, which is crucial to my field of work. Take operational forecasting courses. Georgia Tech’s location is also very beneficial for students interested in the broadcast field. There are several opportunities for internships with top 10 market or national television stations. The internships I had while in school put me a leg ahead of other recent graduates.
