Daniel Lamprea is a fourth-year Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences major with a minor in mathematics, graduating in May 2026. He is currently working in Dr. Ali Sarhadiās group, focusing on the economic risk of tropical cyclone tornadoes. He also works as a TA for the EAS 1600 lab. He has previously interned with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City and the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, California, where he will return for another summer before pursuing his PhD in atmospheric science at the University of Colorado Boulder. He is currently the president of the American Meteorological Society chapter at Georgia Tech, also known as Storm Club. In his free time, he enjoys running, playing video games, exploring new food, and watching sports, especially Atlanta United.
