GLEN CASS AWARD
This award, in memory of Glen Cass, a former EAS Chair, is given to a student focusing on problems in environmental studies. 
JOHN BRADSHAW AWARD
Preference for students emphasizing Instrumentation. One or more letters of nomination may be submitted to the EAS Awards Committee by members of the faculty who are familiar with the student's acomplishments in this area of research. The John Bradshaw scholarship Is funded from the Cass/Bradshaw Memorial fund.
DOUGLAS D. DAVIS FELLOWSHIP
This fellowship is in memory of Douglas Davis, a former EAS faculty member, and is given to a EAS graduate student who has achieved a GPA of 3 or greater. Further preference is given to qualified students who are conducting atmospheric research.
RESEARCH EXCELLENCE AWARD
This award is given to a student who has demonstrated a high level of creativity and independence in the pursuit of his/her research topic.
KURT FRANKEL AWARD
This award, in memory of Kurt Frankel (a former faculty member in EAS) is given to a graduate student focusing on problems in geosciences, who demonstrated excellence and creativity in fieldwork. One or more letters of nomination may be submitted to the EAS Awards Committee by members of the faculty who are familiar with the student’s accomplishments in this area of research. The Award is funded from the Kurt Frankel Memorial fund.
GRADUATE STUDENT SERVICE AWARD
This award recognizes the contributions of graduate students who demonstrate excellence in service internally or externally to EAS. Examples of service commitment can include but are not limited to: evidence of strong leadership in university or department graduate student committees (such as GEAS); service activities in local or national organizations for advancing interests of graduate students or promoting the public good.
