Please briefly describe your current job

What is your favorite part of your current position
The challenge of applying my experience to something completely new - this allows me to learn new things, talk to really smart people, and bring that knowledge and those relationships to bear in problems that I need to solve.
How did your EAS education prepare you for your current job?
My experience in EAS as both an undergraduate and graduate student provided critical preparation for my current position. Most importantly, it provided the underpinnings of important physical and mathematical concepts (Fourier transforms are a must!). Although it was not always easy for me, the quantitative and technical rigor of the EAS curriculum continues to benefit me as a scientist and as a technology entrepreneur. Most of all I was able to garner skills on how to learn effectively from interacting with faculty and other students.
What do you wish you had known as an EAS undergraduate in order to land the job of your dreams?
Additional interaction with engineers or scientists in different fields to prepare for interdisciplinary workforce.
