Please briefly describe your current job
Weather and Environmental Science Officer in the US Air Force where I lead an Operational Floor of forecasters, specifically forecasting for missions in the CENTCOM AOR
What is your favorite part of your current position
Getting to lead people! I love getting to work with people from all over and all come together to make sure we are providing as much information as we can to help save lives and complete missions.
How did your EAS education prepare you for your current job?
It set me up well to be able to help verify my team’s forecasts. Also, having the coding classes I did at Georgia Tech in EAS helped me get unique opportunities where I got to use that skill set. For example getting to attend a data analytics training to help integrate weather with other Information Warfare fields.
What do you wish you had known as an EAS undergraduate in order to land the job of your dreams?
I’m forever proud to have been a Georgia Tech graduate!
