Please briefly describe your current job
I represent the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Georgia Department of Agriculture by bringing enforcement actions and defending agency actions in administrative hearings, providing them with advice, negotiating complex settlements, and litigating in federal and state court.
What is your favorite part of your current position
Being able to combine both my passion of the law and my science and engineering knowledge to help my clients.
How did your EAS education prepare you for your current job?
My favorite thing about EAS was being able to work together with other students who loved meteorology. My EAS education provided the foundation of my knowledge of environmental science, which helps give me an edge in cases involving complex science.
What do you wish you had known as an EAS undergraduate in order to land the job of your dreams?
I wish I had known how important it is to network with people who can help connect you with potential employers.
