Dr. T. Long has been involved with promoting the use of seismometers in K-12 teaching from the beginning of the PEPP in 1994. He has organized several workshops on these topics. These workshops and related activities have placed over 10 seismometers in local high schools. He has designed teaching exercises for using seismometers and seismic data in teaching. This material is currently being organized for presentation on a web site (http://GaESN.eas.gatech.edu). He has designed new exercises for a "SummerScape" summer program managed by the CEISMC).
