Elianna Cohen is a fifth-year Earth and Atmospheric Sciences major with a minor in physics, graduating in December 2025. She is currently conducting research with Dr. Andrew Newman, studying earthquake energies and their potential to create tsunamis, with the goal of improving early warning systems. Her research is being conducted as the foundation for her undergraduate thesis and will be presented at the AGU Conference in December 2025. She is currently an Instructor-In-Training and the New and Prospective Member Liaison for ORGT Caving, along with being a Georgia Tech Tour Guide and working at the Tutoring Center. Outside of school, Elianna loves running, surfing, playing the guitar, hiking, and is currently working towards her pilot’s license with the goal of becoming a commercial pilot.
